UK and Pan-European PR
Ian Rumgay runs the UK and pan-European offices for James Korenchen Public Relations and is the founder of JKPR affiliate Saxondene Consulting. He manages the pan-European strategies and media relations for clients. Ian also has Asia-Pacific experience and implements PR programs in Hong Kong, China, and Japan.
With more than 35-years experience, Ian manages the UK and international PR programs for corporations, governments and professional service providers including TripAdvisor, Battersea Power Station, Ukraine Ministry of Foreign Affairs, SaferSurfer, and Allied London. Ian has also worked with Siemens, Compaq, Northwest Airlines, Nestlé, Versace, HSBC (Hong Kong), Olympic Games, and M&M Mars.
Prior to working with JKPR, Ian was the Director of International Client Services for Weber Shandwick Worldwide and worked closely with James Korenchen. He was responsible for guiding policy and developing initiatives for servicing the firm’s major multi-country clients. His work encompassed strategic development and direction of international communications programs, new product and market development, and implemented web-enabled strategies and group marketing activities.
Showcasing his global expertise, Ian has worked in Asia, Western Europe and North America. This included a four-year appointment in Hong Kong where he developed a regional PR network and created a client services initiative for the region. He also established a greater China network and directed pan-Asia PR programs.
Ian currently lives in Kent, southeast England, with his wife Jane and three children. He is also a member of his local parish council and is the grand master of the United Grand Lodge of England.
